About IQAC

The IQAC ensures the effective implementation of quality initiatives through continuous reviews and periodic meetings. The IQAC strives for excellence in all academic and administrative endeavours of the institution. The IQAC may channelize and systematise an institution’s efforts and measures to achieve academic excellence. The IQAC acts as a mentor for Planning, Guiding, Quality Assurance (QA), and Quality Enhancement (QE) activities of the institution. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC integrates into the institution’s system and works to achieve quality improvement and sustainability goals. The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was established in 2015 at VV College of Engineering.

Objectives

  • • To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the institution’s academic and administrative performance.
  • • To promote measures for institutional functioning that improves quality through the internalisation of quality culture and institutionalisation of best practices.

Functions

Some of the functions expected of the IQAC are

  • • Development and application of quality benchmarks and parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the institutions.
  • • Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment that promotes quality education, as well as faculty maturation in order to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning.
  • • Arrangement for feedback responses from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality related institutional processes.
  • • Dissemination of information on various quality parameters in higher education.
  • • Organization of inter and intra-institutional workshops, seminars on quality related topics and promotion of quality circles.
  • • Documentation of the various programmes and activities of the college, leads to quality improvement.
  • • Acting as the institution’s nodal agency for coordinating quality-related activities, such as adoption and dissemination of best practices.
  • • Development and maintenance of institutional databases through MIS for the purpose of maintaining and enhancing institutional quality.
  • • Development of a quality culture in the college.
  • • Preparing the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) based on the parameters of the NBA.

  • • The credibility of evaluation procedures.
  • • Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structures and services.
  • • Sharing research findings and connecting with other institutes in India and abroad.
  • • To keep track of the departments that are accredited by the NBA and ensure the departments uphold NBA standards.
