• ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CELL:

    The Entrepreneurship Development cell of V V College of Engineering is actively organizing various activities every year to inculcate Entrepreneurship culture among students.

    Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) stimulates the budding technocrats to drift their own business/venture through various activities such as seminars and workshops. Industrial eminent, young entrepreneurs are often invited to motivate the budding engineering students.

    A series of free lectures and talks by the VVCOE alumni who are excellence in the path of entrepreneurial route also encourage our students through frequent discussions and interactions.

    Our vision is to produce successful entrepreneurs with high leadership and entrepreneurial skills in practical manner to compete globally.

    Mission:

    To become the Centre of excellence to inspire and develop institutional mechanism to create entrepreneurial culture. Students can expand their ideas and objectives in a preferable way in and out of the campus.

    Objectives of the EDC:

    • To create a platform for self-employment and entrepreneurship development through technical and non-technical events.
    • To link the concept of entrepreneurship in the content of subject and in curricula at diploma and degree levels.
    • To develop management personnel and technically trained manpower at appropriate levels for the development of various sectors like education, rural, small-scale industry etc.
    • To inspire the students by conducting brain storming session, group discussion, ideation, design projects contest, critical thinking, problem solving, business plan competition and marketing.
    • To provide a podium for inculcating entrepreneur and research skills in students.
    • To promote employment opportunities in the innovative areas.

  • The one day EDC program on “EDII-TN Funding Schemes for Young Entrepreneur” was jointly organized by Entrepreneurship DevelopmentCell of V V College of Engineering (VVCOE) and Entrepreneurship & Innovation Institute (EDII) – Tamil Nadu in association with Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Programme (IEDP) - Tirunelveli at V V College of Engineering (VVCOE), Tuticorin on 28thNovember 2023.

    V V College of Engineering has all the requisite infrastructure facilities as stipulated by AICTE and the Govt. of Tamil Nadu and it is on par with Anna University standards. The college offers five Under Graduate and four Post Graduate programmes. The state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities available in the college suit the contemporary post-modern educational system.     The Staff team of V V College of Engineering visited the KABIF (Killikulam Agribusiness Incubation Forum). The basic objective behind this visit was to make the staff members to understand the concept of Incubation centers, see the facilities provided by such centers, understand the various prototypes of business models and their operations and change perceptions from seeking job to creating the job.

    Tamil Nadu Student Innovators (TNSI) Programme is an initiative of EDII-TN to motivate student innovators and entrepreneurs from all over the state of Tamil Nadu. TNSI was introduced in the year 2017. The students are provided opportunity to give their innovative ideas as a solution to identified validated problem statements in the field of agriculture, industry, smart cities, health care, fintech and automobile sectors. The programme includes series of events like awareness and ideation programmes, boot camps and final pitch. Innovative ideas are selected by a panel of Jury from the Startup Ecosystem for the award of Rs. 1.00 lakh each for further development of their prototype and also to commercialize the product.

    Quiz competitions are always interesting and informative, which provide excitement among the Students. The main objective of this event to make them aware of recent general knowledge related to the shortcuts of mathematics topic Eigen value and Eigen vectors. The Quiz Competition was open for all first year students.

    V V College of Engineering – Entrepreneurship Development Cell organized a one day program on “Promotional Activity” in association with Anna University Regional Centre and Funded by Entrepreneurship Development Innovation Institute – Tamil Nadu on November 18, 2022 in the conference hall. The program focused on awareness about Entrepreneurship, innovations and Government supports for aspiring Entrepreneurs.
