A one day Industrial Visit was organized by the Department of Science and Humanities for the First year B.E students on 05.07.2019. Thirteen staff coordinators accompanied the students.
The students visited the VV Paiints Factory at Tuticorin. By visiting the modern facility the students had a direct glimpse of the paint manufacturing process. They acquired a first hand knowledge of the various operations involved in the raw materials stage to finished goods stage.
In the afternoon, students visited VV Marine company, a hightech seafood processing company located in Tuticorin. They were apprised about the practices involved in procurement, pre-processing, processing and packing of sea foods like Prawns. They understood about the high levels of hygiene required while processing seafood for export.
The trip was highly useful for the students in terms of practical knowledge gained.
