Kamarajar Memorial Library

Widely acknowledged as one of the best libraries in the state, our library system comprises Kamarajar Memorial Library and six departmental libraries to support teaching, learning, research activities and dissemination of information.

The College Library, established in the year 2010, was functioning in the main building of the college till 2012. Recently, it has been named Kamarajar Memorial Library and shifted, to a spacious area of 50,500 sq.ft.

The prime objective of Central Library is to provide the right information to the right readers of the institution at the right time in the right manner by bibliographic sources and full-text sources in the form of print as well as digital from the multi-discipline on Engineering, Technology, Science & Humanities, Management, General, etc., which are kept in separate places such as Stack Section, Reference Section, Periodical Section and Digital Section for easy to access exactly.

Rules and Regulations

  • Students must wear ID card at all times
  • Maintain strict silence in the Reading Room and other areas
  • Members are requested to leave your bag in the property counter
  • Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the library premises.
  • Users should not deface, cut, mutilate or damage Library
  • Materials (including documents) in any form. If found guilty, User will be charged double the cost of that particular material.
  • Use of edibles items are strictly prohibited inside the library
  • Sleeping, eating and having refreshments inside the Library are strictly prohibited
  • Reference materials should not be taken outside from the library
  • DO NOT crowd around any counter, but stand in queue and wait for your turn.
  • Kindly cooperate and interact gently with library staff
  • In case of any difficulty library users can approach the Librarian or the Principal
  • Do take care of library books and journals
  • If an issued book is lost / damaged it has to replace as per the VVCOE norms
  • Violation of these rules will call for punitive action against the erring student
  • Members are free to browse the books in the Library and the books taken out of the shelves should be left on the reading tables
  • Journals (unbound issues)/Reference Books/ Reports will not be issued from the library.
  • No circulation will take place from the Reference Library.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 9.30 AM. To 4.30 PM.
  • Saturday: 9.30 AM. To 4.00 PM.
